Required Insurance

Newly-enrolled students with medical insurance

-         Medical insurance valid for 6 months

Newly-enrolled students without medical insurance

International students insurance for 6 months.

Premium: NT$ 500 every month

International students staying in Taiwan for 6 full months after receiving ARC

National Health Insurance (NHI) Required

Premium: NT$ 749 every month; one semester (6 months) is NT 4,494

*The University will collect NHI premium with tuition & fees











  Required documents for applying insurance and NHI card:

1.      Copy of your student ID card (both sides)

2.      Copy of valid ARC (both sides)

3.      1 two-inch ID photo


  Penalties for violation

All residents in Taiwan are required to join the NHI program. Those who fail to participate in the NHI program shall pay a fine of NT$3,000 to NT$15,000, and they should pay the NHI premium from the date on which they are qualified to participate in the NHI program.


  How to apply for re-issuing or replacing NHI card?

If the NHI card is damaged, lost, or if there is a change of card holder’s information or photo, please fill in the application form and submit the application with a processing fee of NT$200 to the National Health Insurance Administration or postal offices.
